Galisteo Compound

Gallery

Located in the beautiful Galisteo Basin, the property includes a two-part main house (980 sq ft), a garage with a workshop-studio (770 sq ft), a geodesic greenhouse dome (700 sq ft), and a two-bedroom ADU (490 sq ft). Community is valued here, with space for growing and sharing food. The main house faces a large deck with views of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains and the nearby ridge. A spiral stair leads to the roof for an even better view and stargazing. The garage is set back, connected to the greenhouse dome. The guest house is farther away for privacy but also has views of the mountains and ridge.

Cladding for the buildings have been chosen to fit in with the surrounding landscape: sand-colored stucco to echo the soil and boulders, and rusty standing seam cladding that mimics the iron of the escarpment's darker ridge-top. We’re excited to see how this home takes shape on site!
